Morgan Timber is an independent timber importer and merchant supplying high quality hardwood and softwood to trade and retail customers throughout the South East of England.

Wood Machining

Finished products can be accurately cut to length by an automatic cross cut with computerised optimising and defect removal. Classical planing machines, spindle moulders, morticers and tenoners give us the ability to handle short runs, specials and one off jobs. Sheet materials and panels can be accurately cut to size using our wall mounted Striebig panel saw. We can supply finished products with a sanded finish using our wide belt sander with capacity of up to 1100mm wide.

Laminating

Although we carry a comprehensive range of thicknesses and widths on all of our joinery softwoods and hardwoods there are often times when our customers require large sections which are not commercially available in a single piece. This is where our ability to laminate any of our joinery softwoods or hardwoods in house can offer a quick and efficient solution. Typical examples of this would be worktops, bar tops and newel posts.



Strength Grading

There are circumstances when higher quality grades of softwood and hardwoods, which do not normally come pre-graded, are required with a strength grade. For these applications our graders are able to visually strength grade softwoods and hardwoods. We can then supply the timber either stamped or with a certificate to show that each piece has met the required grade.



Treatment and Coatings

To complement our timber and machining capabilities we can offer a range of treatments to enhance the natural durability of the timber or a selection of coatings to save time on site.
