We started out as independent crafts people and timber workers who came together organically; initially teaming up to work on specific projects, before finally incorporating.
Today we are proud to be a workers co-operative, which means that our business is collectively owned and operated by our members.
We have a non-hierarchical, equal pay structure and practice consensus decision making.
We are a collective of woodland & woodworking enthusiasts with many years’ experience in sawmilling and timber processing, as well as experience in the commercial forestry sector.
We also hold between us a range of professional qualifications which allow us to safely work with plant and machinery, build and maintain equipment and grade our timber.
We also proudly claim a range of less relevant experience in fields as diverse as engineering & toolmaking, kitchen fitting, ecological building, renewable energy, Earth sciences and forestry, which whilst not always directly relevant, we like to think makes us more rounded human beings!
