Government Consultation on Extension to Combustible Materials Regulation
Back to newsThe Government has launched a consultation to review the current ban on combustible materials in or on the walls of buildings.
The consultation makes clear that the Government aims to extend the ban by lowering the threshold of buildings to which it applies from 18 metres to 11 metres.
The TTF is currently working with TDCA, WPA, TRADA, STA, and others to formulate a response.
The TTF will also be working through the consultation in all forthcoming committee meetings.
If you would like to contribute to this process, the TTF would be pleased to receive your input.
The consultation can be found here.
The TTF will submit a response in late February. The consultation is open until April 2020.
