UK delay a vote on house building plans after threats to revolt

A vote scheduled for Monday on the Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill will not go ahead, adding no new date had been set and that the delay was due to a busy parliamentary timetable.
Britain’s government delayed a legislative vote on its housebuilding projects after dozens of its Conservative lawmakers signaled they wanted to change sections of it.
The legislation aimed at boosting housing and infrastructure faces opposition from 47 lawmakers from Sunak’s party who filed an amendment to it, wanting to end mandatory housebuilding targets for local authorities.
